Each of the various Offices and Councils of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government serve more or less the same functions for the Office of the President. Decision Support and Risk Assessment for their area of influence. The White House Office of Creative Affairs(OCA) will be somewhat different. Instead of offering insight and intelligence the OCA will offer ideas and innovation. They will be the Think Tank for America.
The digital, always on virtual brainstorm that moves through time zones and cross borders to engage the genius of our time and the common sense as well. The task of the OAC is to insure that somewhere at all times some of the most gifted minds of our time are saying, “What if we do this?
What you are experiencing here is a microcosm of the “Real OCA” in action. Issues are presented. Ideas are encouraged. Ideas are brought forward. Experts organize the ideas. The public reviews them and comments. The ideas and the comments are reviewed by the Executive Branch. The ideas become answers. The answers are applied to the Issues. A solution emerges. The Issues are addressed. The Think Tank for America at work.
This is truly the time for new ideas to spring forward. We may have to temporarly infuse new taxes into the equation. They do not have to be permenant. It will take a combination of many new thoughts, but it is extremely important, that this is done in a responsible experimental progressive manner. We must show the ability to adjust if something does not work, or need more to accomplish a favorable result for the American people.
